Soft metal was almost used for grinding the surface of hard metal in the times when PTFE was unavailable. The new materials such as PTFE and PEEK resolve the problem such as heavy metal weight, poor wearing resistant performance and requirements for high quality lubricating oil, making it possible to realize light weight, long service life and oil free lubrication.
